Detail Matters!
Understanding the behavior of megastructures in airports, train stations, and bridges through a series of lectures and discussions, leads to start a parallel structural and architectural design for a fire station. In fact, Apparatus Bay was considered as the focal point of the structural design.
In other words, considering all requirements—from building regulations, the solution for mixing different construction systems and technical details to fitting the program for an emergency service which includes time saving and clear organization—was the objective to achieve a project which started with series of constructional questions, enriched by technical drawings and shaped a technical framework to understand how realization of architectural decisions is possible in the real world.
