Considering the complexity of the program in an airport and analyzing the variety of required functions and spaces, raised the questions about the mechanism of airports. In fact, an airport can be assumed as a complex transferring machine by which people are able to move from point A to point B. Obviously, this one simple need asks for superimposition of several complicated systems and in order to satisfy it, "structure" was chosen as the focal point since its variation enables both to mix spaces with different scales and to keep the cohesion of airport’s system as a unit.

In an airport, among all the interior spaces, Main Hall is the largest one, a space which was chosen as the distributor of all circulation paths and the starting point of the mechanism. Accordingly, its structure was designed to provide a free interior space covered with large-span structure in a way that truss beams sit on the boundary of the Main Hall.
